THE STORY OF PEGASUS
The collection is originally developed with the Swedish Armed Forces
Helicopter Wing. The watch is designed and inspired by the helicopters used, Helicopter 16 (Black Hawk UH-60) and Helicopter 15 (Augusta A109).
The numbers on the dial has been designed with a large octagon style in
resemblance with the numerals typical for the US Armed Forces and those found in the cockpit of Black Hawk UH-60. The numbers have a vintage yellow colour that makes it easy to read and glows with a green lume in the dark.
The two subdials features 4-point hands designed by combining the rotor
blades of the two helicopters used in the Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing. The minute and hour hands have pointy ends, inspired by the dagger in the Helicopter Wings emblem. The center positioned second hand is a resemblance of the Single Bearing Pointer in Helicopter 15 (Augusta A109). The date wheel is positioned at 6 with a black background and white numerals. The sapphire crystal has a top coating to prevent fingerprints, and the bottom of the crystal has a double anti-reflectivec oating to prevent glare for easier reading.
The Pegasus works on a hybrid meca-quartz movement by Seiko, combining quartz with mechanical technology. The watch is run by a battery while the chronograph (time keeping function) is run on mechanical technology with a sweeping second hand. The quartz movement makes the Pegasus a reliable tool’s watch.
